Senior hotel reviewer · Stayed in April 2026

Breakfast here is a little ceremony and I am here for it. The room was already humming when I came down — fresh plates, staff who actually clocked that I had not had coffee yet, Vancouver light pouring in like it had somewhere to be. I left the table buzzing. Guests talk about lounge breakfasts with the same grin. I get it.

The lobby is the hotel’s living room. Friendly, relaxed, a place people actually sit instead of just cutting through. Corridors stay calm even when the building is huge — and it is huge, a five-star house connected to the arena, Vegas-big in the best way if that is your kind of holiday voltage. I kept finding myself slowing down in those public rooms on purpose.

The human scale

One small thing: a front-desk lead caught that I was hunting a quieter corner to wait and walked me to a chair with a view instead of pointing. No flourish. Just the kind of noticing that makes a big hotel feel personal. Guests keep saying polite, accommodating, genuinely kind. That was my night too.

The surprise was how much the stay felt like a holiday even on a short bounce. I expected polish. I did not expect to keep thinking about the shower — marble, unhurried, a gel that actually smelled like something you would miss. Mandy was not being extra. I nearly turned around for it on the way out.

Who gets the key

The bathroom is the practical chapter. It has what you need; Erik is right that it reads a little less big than the rooms. Water pressure was generous. The marble made the morning feel lush in the sensory way, not the brochure way. I lingered.

I would send anyone who wants a downtown Vancouver night with water in the window, a conference that still feels like a treat, or a celebration that needs a team who actually runs events. I would not send the traveller who wants a tiny, hush-hush hideaway — this is a large, lively five-star, and it is honest about that.

Access

Step-free and stairs

During this stay we used the main public routes and the guest-room floor we were given. We could not independently verify step-free paths, lift coverage, or accessible room specifications for every part of this large property. Features change, and only the hotel can confirm a particular room.

Confirm your specific access needs directly with the property before you travel.

I stayed here during the FIFA World Cup and I was blown away that such a beautiful hotel exists in downtown Vancouver. The front desk staff are very polite and accommodating. The room was beautiful and immaculate. Stunning views of the water and Science World. The bathroom shower has marble and was so relaxing to shower in, the shower gel smelled so good! We were only here for 1 night but we wish we stayed longer. I forgot to buy some of their shower gel on my way out... it smelled that good, will definitely stay here again, it is the BEST hotel in all of the Lower Mainland.

I recently stayed at the hotel while attending a conference with SurveyMonkey, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, which made it easy to relax after long conference days. The amenities were fantastic and truly elevated my stay. The front desk staff were a pleasure to interact with - professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind every time I passed through the lobby. One of the absolute highlights of my visit was a massage with Natalie. It was truly life-changing. Thank you, Natalie, for working through the stiffness and pain I had in my upper back and for the thoughtful personal recommendation you shared afterward. It made a meaningful difference, and I left feeling renewed. It was such a wonderful experience, and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

A beautiful 5-star stay at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt elegant, modern, and welcoming. As a Lifetime Titanium member, I was very grateful for the incredible upgrade to room 2201, a beautiful two-bedroom suite. The suite was spacious, stylish, and extremely comfortable — truly one of the nicest upgrades we have received. The lounge was also a highlight of our stay. I took several photos because the space was so lovely, and both the breakfast and evening snacks were excellent. Everything was well presented, fresh, and enjoyable. The location is another big plus. The hotel is close to great walking areas along the water, which made it easy to enjoy Vancouver’s scenery and relax outside the hotel as well. Overall, this was a fantastic stay. Beautiful property, excellent lounge, great location, and a memorable suite upgrade. We loved our time here and would happily stay again.

The location is great when you’re on vacation. It gives me Vegas big hotel vibes in the best way. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when going to Vancouver.

We had an exceptional experience as vendors, working with the events team at Parq. The event itself was perfectly executed, the food was beyond incredible and the staff professionalism and attentiveness exceeded all expectations. As vendors, we felt incredibly looked after and assistance was always offered in any task we performed - something we wouldn't expect anywhere, but was so much appreciated. We would highly recommend JV Parq Marriott for your wedding and events!

The JW MArriott Parq is a huge hotel connected to the BC Arena. The lobby is a very friendly and relaxt area of the hotel, where the staff takes care of you with the highest level of service. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The bathroom is a little less big, but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast staff is more than friendly and makes sure you will have the best start of the day. I’ll be back.
